Schedule update for March 2026: I will be away from the office from March 13-29th.

Waitlist: When booking yourself on the waitlist it is important to make sure you enter the correct Appointment time (ie. 60 minute Initial Physiotherapy appointment, or 30 minute Subsequent Appointment), to ensure the system notifies you appropriately when a time becomes available.

Parking changes in effect on Esplanade and Lonsdale.

The City of North Vancouver has implemented new parking regulations, and this influences parking on Esplanade and Lonsdale. These areas are now subject to pay parking if you are there for longer than 30 minutes. To prepare for the changes, I recommend that you read the link below, as well as download the Passport Parking app. You are also able to pay by debit or credit card at a nearby pay station. There is still free 2 hour parking on parts of 3rd street and Mahon Ave.

Alison Heald

My name is Alison and I am a registered Physiotherapist in BC. I completed my Physiotherapy degree in 2001 from Otago University in New Zealand.

Treatment techniques include an integration of manual therapy, intramuscular stimulation (IMS dry needling), education, and exercises designed to get your body moving. I strive to determine the root cause of the problem, which helps with prevention of future recurrences.

I believe that it is essential for each client to be an active participant in the treatment process in order to successfully return to their sport, activities, and the basics of daily living. I have experience working with people of all ages and activity levels, with particular interests in running injuries/prevention, hip pathologies, and neck/back issues.

Outside of work I enjoy activities such as trail running, hiking, downhill skiing, and paddle boarding. My fitness pursuits this winter are to improve my indoor climbing skills so that I can keep up with my family!

As a long-time resident of North Vancouver, I look forwards to continuing to help the people in my community and get you on the path to achieving your goals.
